Keemun is a very popular variety of black tea in the west, popularized in the 19th century. It's a smooth, but powerful black tea. While it knocks you around and hits hard, the subtle flavors you get are of stone fruits, malt, a tiny bit of smoke, and notes of cocoa with a floral scent to it.
This particular batch of Keemun is particularly potent, so watch the steep time carefully. And a note from Teamaster Gwen, this is a black tea to drink while you sit down, sip on it, and think about the cup, appreciate it. It's not a casual drinker's tea.
